There was no quick assert of accountability, spokesman Olivier Salgado said from the cash of Bamako.

An unknown group launched several mortars on the camp at four a.m., Salgado explained.

Mongi Hamdi, the head of the U.N. mission, condemned the assaults and provided condolences to the family members of people killed.

“I want to reiterate that these assaults will not impede the determination of the United Nations to help the Malian men and women and the peace method, which includes by means of assisting the implementation of the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali,” Hamdi mentioned.

The mission is known as MINUSMA, the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali. The settlement to which Hamdi referred was signed by all functions to Mali’s disputes and is meant to carry peace to the West African nation.
