NEW DELHI: Agitating from the alleged growing “intolerance” in the place, scores of Youth Congress employees assembled at Jantar Mantar listed here these days demanding that the Prime Minister break his silence on the concern.
The agitating employees were tackled by Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia who accused the BJP-led NDA govt of failing to include the situation of increasing intolerance in the region.
“The atmosphere of intolerance has been produced by BJP and we have to get rid of it. Their ministers and MPs are creating irresponsible remarks and they are silent. Their Assam Governor claims that India is for Hindus and Muslims can go to Pakistan or Syria…they are forgetting that India is a united nation,” he said in his tackle.
Scindia also alleged that the NDA government has moved from “chai pe charcha” to “gai (cow) pe charcha” and demanded that PM Narendra Modi break his silence on the issue.
Although the activists ongoing with their “Sansad Gherao” programme, law enforcement had to use water canons to disperse them.
The protesters also targetted the government for the price tag hike of important commodities as properly, specially onions and potatoes.
