NEW DELHI: Govt is exploring possibilities for involving private players by means of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Ganga clean-up routines, Rajya Sabha was educated these days.
Union Minister of State for Drinking water Resources, Sanwar Lal Jat shared the data whilst responding to queries regardless of whether the Govt has entered into agreements with private gamers for cleaning the river.
“The Authorities has not entered into any arrangement with personal players for cleansing Ganga. The projects for cleansing Ganga underneath Namami Gange are tendered by involved executive agencies beneath respective condition governments.
“Also, possibilities for involving corporate in the river cleanse-up actions by way of their CSR programmes are becoming explored,” Jat explained. PTI
