NEW DELHI: As component of a comprehensive security plan, a committee has advised deployment of a specific drive for protecting the museum objects as properly as monuments, Lok Sabha was knowledgeable.
Apart from specific power, the committee has also recommended use of equipment and digital gadgets to defend cultural assets, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma explained in Lok Sabha.
“A committee of Ministry of Lifestyle has recommended a Special Drive for protection of museum objects and guarded monuments as element of a comprehensive security policy,” Sharma said.
The committee has also recommended steps to be taken for securing cultural assets by physical deployment and with the aid of resources and electronic gadgets, amongst other individuals such as pressure, he added.
At the moment, the minister explained, cultural belongings are offered with security by standard view and ward personnel, residence guards, CISF and non-public protection guards.
